CAnt open NTFS drive in read write on ubuntu - i no longer have windows 10 to fix it

i switched to ubuntu 18, i recall my nfts drive listed, accessing it and even downloading some software in it.
BUT -- after reboot ( after virtualbox5.22 installed) I can only see RO read only mode for my ntfs partitions.
Also - I recall mounting my USB3.0 drive in read/write mode /auto detect: But it no longer does so.
my USB 2.0 drives work/detected ok. I use wifi USB 2.0 adapter, wifi mouse, both work ok.
