Adobe Digital Editions cannot open .acsm

I have installed ADE 1.7 with WINE and downloaded an .acsm file from my local library to read.



However, when I try to open the .acsm file with ADE I recieve the following message:



"Sorry, the file you are attempting to open cannot be opened by Digital Editions."



How can I get ADE to recognise the .acsm?
