How can i make PC Buzzer Speaker when the network cable is unplugged or no network available or pinging...

so im trying to setup a script so when the NFS Share or Network goes down on a Server and Workstation i want it to beep. However i have been looking at a few questions on this site but not sure as to whether they still work in 16.04.
