Can you tell me where my power, display and other buttons are?
Ubuntu 18.04, gnome-control-center is installed

You're under "details." Did you click the back button in the upper left-hand corner of this window? You should see all of the other settings there.

@RolandiXor That seems to be the issue, please consider posting as an answer. It's a legit question as nowadaysgnome-control-center
remembers the last opened option. So even after closing and reopening the application users would find themselves stuck at the same place which may be very puzzling.
