Blackscreen on Powerbook G4 Titamium

I'm trying to install Linux on on Powerbook G4 Titanium 550MHz from 2001, but every distribution I tried had the same Problem:
It starts booting normally, but after some time the screen on the laptop gets black but I get a normal output on an external monitor.
I know that the Powerbook works, because it runs macOS 10.4.11 just fine.

Does anyone know what to do? it would be perfect if Ubuntu Mate 16.04 would work on the Powerbook.
